Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
When walking out of the airport, you will see our local guide waiting for you. Then the guide will escort you to a vehicle driven by an experienced driver who will transfer you to the hotel. Then the remaining time will be your free time.

Accommodation: The Great Wall Hotel Beijing (5 stars) - the former Sheraton

Day 2: Beijing
After a brief introduction of the Tibet group tours, our guide will lead you to Tiananmen Square. It used to be a palace square and common people could not visit. To the north of the square is Forbidden City, the next attraction we will go. All the architectures are made of wood with yellow glazed roof tiles.

After the visit, an a la carte lunch will be prepared for you with the famous local food – Peking Duck.

We will continue the trip to Temple of Heaven in the afternoon. Built in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it was the place for the emperors to worship the god and pray for a harvest. Then watching a Chinese Kung Fu Show will be the last activity today.

Day 3: Beijing
Today, we will go to the Mutianyu Great Wall. When sitting in the round-trip cable car, you can find that most of the wall are built on the steep cliffs. After reaching the top, we will make a toast with red wine provided by us to celebrate this memorable moment.

Then we will leave you some time at a featured local market.

Day 4: Beijing - Xi'an
Today’s visit starts from Summer Palace, an important political and diplomatic center in late Qing Dynasty (1636-1912) thus witnessing lots of major historical events. After a photo-stop at the Olympic National Stadium, we will have a la carte lunch. And then head to experience an old traffic form called rickshaw in Hutong and observe the life of local people. Also we will learn to make Paper Cutting there.

Afterwards, our guide will send you to the flight to Xi’an, a famous ancient capital in China. On your arrival at the airport, the Xi’an guide will greet you and help you to get to the hotel.

Day 5: Xi'an
A morning excursion will be the most famous attraction in the city, Terracotta Army. The numerous vivid life-size terra cotta warriors, horses and chariots will shock you surely. The magnificent underground army shows the splendid civilization in ancient China.

Around noon, we arrange a special visit to a local family and have a taste of the home-cooked lunch there. Also you can learn to cook some simple dishes from the host if you are interested. This will be an unforgettable experience.

In the afternoon, we will continue to Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Xi'an Museum to get to know the history of Buddhism in Tang Dynasty (618-907). After it, a wonderful night is waiting for you. A Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show will be performed when you enjoy the various kind of dumplings in the Dumpling Dinner.

Friendly Tips:
As the theater is usually not open in Jan, Feb, Mar and Dec, we will not arrange the show and dumpling dinner for tours during the periods. Guests will enjoy free time to relax.

Day 6: Xi'an - Lhasa
After the breakfast, the guide will accompany you to the airport and see you off there. After arriving at Lhasa, the last city in our Tibet group tour packages, the local guide will welcome you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel to take a rest. Please try to adapt to the high altitude during the rest.

Day 7: Lhasa
Your first stop in Lhasa will be Norbulingka Park, meaning “Treasure Park” in Tibetan. It is a representative park in Tibetan style where Dalai Lama in the past dealt with the political affairs in summer. Then proceed to Sera Monastery where houses plenty of precious Buddha statues, scriptures and musical instruments. To appreciate the most beautiful scenery of Potala Palace, we will climb up to the Viewing Platform of Yaowang Mountain. You will be amazed by the landscape you see.

Day 8: Lhasa
Today, we will tour the Potala Palace, a must-see scenic spot in our Tibet group tours. It is the biggest and most complete architectural complex of ancient castle in Tibet and the essence of ancient Tibetan architecture.

Then follow the guide to the Jokhang Temple. Combining the architectural styles of Tibetan, Tang Dynasty, Nepalese and Indian, it becomes the eternal example of Tibetan religious architecture. The temple is surrounded by Barkhor Street which is the most prosperous business street in the city where you can taste some Tibetan food and buy some souvenirs. Finally, we will visit a Nunnery to know the life of the nuns.

Day 9: Departure from Lhasa
