The flight time is 70 to 90 minutes. It is recommended that you fly to Koh Samui the night before, so that your sightseeing in Bangkok won’t be affected and you can have a full day to explore Koh Samui the next day. You have a choice of two flights after 18:00. Don’t worry when you arrive at the Samui Airport in the evening. The airport is especially close to the downtown area, and the main beaches and hotels are easily accessible by car in 10 minutes. A minibus from the airport to the Chaweng Beach costs THB 150 per person, while a taxi costs THB 500 to 600. About Accommodation: The main urban area of Koh Samui is in the northeast corner of the island, near the airport. The most famous Chaweng Beach is also located nearby. With easy transportation, a great number of hotels and restaurants, as well as a busy night market, the Chaweng Beach is a popular place for tourists to live. If you prefer a quiet place, then it is recommended to stay near the Lamai Beach in the south or the Maenam Beach in the north, where the sand is pristine and there are less people. |
