Day 1: Arrival in Shanghai
Our Terracotta Warriors tour from Shanghai will start with Beijing sightseeing, but if you have already booked your flight to Shanghai, we will arrange hotel and pick up service for you there. Then send you to Beijing. Upon your arrival at Shanghai airport, our guide will welcome you at the arrival lobby and lead you to the vehicle heading for your hotel. The guide will help you check in your hotel and you may get time to spare for roaming after essential things are taken care of.

Day 2: Shanghai - Beijing
After breakfast, you need to get prepared for the 4.5-hour high speed train to Beijing. Our Shanghai guide will put you aboard the train at the train station. You are met on arrival in Beijing and brought to your hotel accommodation.

Day 3: Beijing
Our Beijing guide will brief you all at the hotel lobby first thing in the morning and then lead you to the Tiananmen Square. Strolling through the world’s largest city square, we will then enter the highlight of your Beijing itinerary - the world-renowned Forbidden City, aka Palace Museum. It is the largest wooden imperial palace in the world and has weathered ravages of 600 years. You may glimpse at what past emperors saw in the exhibits at the museum.

After an a la carte welcome lunch, complete with a taste of Peking Duck, we set out for Temple of Heaven where emperors officiated at offerings to appease supreme beings and pray for a good harvest.

In the evening, you are entertained by Chinese Kung Fu Show before turning in to sleep.

Day 4: Beijing
Today our prime focus is on Mutianyu Great Wall, the gem that stands out. And you get a round trip cable car ride, which make your journey to the wall more pleasant. You will be satisfied when watching the Great Wall winding along the top of continuous mountains with all the picturesque natural scenery coming into your sight at a glance. A toast with red wine on the wall marks the occasion.

On the way going back to downtown, we will take a shopping stroll in a traditional market.

Day 5: Beijing - Xi'an
In the morning, we will visit the most well-preserved royal garden in China - Summer Palace, then leave you a photo-op at one of the famous national landmarks, the Bird’s Nest. After lunch, to proceed your Shanghai to Xi’an tour, we will go for a Beijing Hutong on a rickshaw ride to explore authentic Hutong life. Along the way we see Chinese paper cutting artists at work keeping the folk art current.

After that, our guide will send you to the airport and help you take the flight to Xi’an, where a relay guide will pick you up to your hotel.

Day 6: Xi'an
After breakfast, our local guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Terracotta Warriors later. Terracotta Warriors are reputed as the eighth wonder of the world because of their life-size clay soldiers, horses and bronze chariots which allow us to meet the ancient civilization one-on-one and bridge the 2200 year difference.

After the Terracotta Warriors tour, we will drive back to downtown and enjoy a home-cooked lunch when socialising with a local family.

Next, we will leave for Small Wild Goose Pagoda, a typical Buddhist tower from over 1,300 years ago. In the evening, you can relax your body and mind by immersing yourself into the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show, while dining on delicious dumplings.

Friendly Tips:
As the theater is usually not open in Jan, Feb, Mar and Dec, we will not arrange the show and dumpling dinner for tours during the periods. Guests will enjoy free time to relax.

Day 7: Xi'an
We come across and participate in the vibrant morning life of Xi’an people in the park around Xi’an City Wall by following Tai Chi exercise from a local master. We then climb the City Wall as the millions of tourists who do so before us, and the millions who will do so after us.

After lunch, we engage the Shaanxi History Museum and its extensive collections representing one million years. Later, we venture into the Muslim Quarter focusing on Great Mosque, whose architecture combines both Middle Eastern and Chinese styles.

Day 8: Xi'an - Guilin
Our Xi’an guide will see you off at the airport for your flight Guilin in the morning. And you are met at the airport when you arrive.

Shortly after refreshing, we will start out for two icons of Guilin landscape - Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Trunk. The former is known for its colorful stalactite caves and the latter is an interesting mountain which resembles an elephant watering at the Li River.

Day 9: Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin
In the morning, we go on the Li River cruise to Yangshuo. During the journey, you cannot miss the fresh morning air and water pellucid as green crystal, amazing karst peaks rising one after another and peaceful country life at both banks.

After disembarkation from the ship, we head directly for Yangshuo’s West Street. At 1,400 years of age, it is still the most prosperous street. Then we tour the countryside before driving back to Guilin.

Day 10: Guilin - Shanghai
In the morning, our Guilin guide will accompany you to the airport for your flight back to Shanghai. Upon your arrival there, you will be greeted at the airport and escorted to the hotel by our Shanghai guide. After that, you may get relaxed at the hotel.

Day 11: Shanghai
Shanghai Museum´s collections of ancient artworks of bronze, ceramic, calligraphy and painting await us as soon as we finish breakfast. Then we make our way to Yu Garden which features simple and tasteful landscapes. There is a busy bazaar outside it, and an ever present Starbucks coffee shop.

After attending a la carte farewell lunch at a nice restaurant, we will go to Former French Concession. It is a quiet place in this busy international metropolis where you see a lot of old European style buildings while strolling along the avenues lined with old plane trees.

Then we will go to the Bund and board the Huangpu River cruise ship. You could see the classical buildings in multinational styles along the Bund and enjoy the beautiful scenery at both banks.

Day 12: Departure from Shanghai
Today our tours from Shanghai to Terracotta Warriors is concluded. You need to reach the airport on your own for the journey home. You need to check out the hotel before 12 o’clock. It is convenient and fast for you to take a taxi to the airport. We wish you a fruitful trip in China and a pleasant journey home.
