Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
Upon arrival at Beijing Airport, you will be picked up by your cordial guide who will be holding a Welcome board. Then your driver will take you to your hotel, and help you check in. After settling in, you will have the rest of the day at leisure. You can stroll around for a warm-up for your coming Lhasa to Kathmandu tour package.

Day 2: Beijing
At around 08:30 a.m., your guide will call you for a meeting. You will meet other group members and be briefed on your guided trip. Your prepared questions about the trip will also be answered.

After the welcome meeting, we will set off for our first stop - Tiananmen Square, one of the largest city squares worldwide, and also an important monument recording the founding and development of People's Republic of China. Then we will visit the Forbidden City, a famous UNESCO World Heritage site, which used to be the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. The thousands of treasures and cultural relics are also eloquent witnesses to the story of earlier times. Around noon, we will take you to have an a la carte welcome lunch, featuring the popular local cuisine - the Peking Duck.

In the afternoon, we will head to the Temple of Heaven constructed in 1420. It is an imperial altar, where the emperors in the Ming and Qing dynasties made wishes for a good harvest, and also a UNESCO World Heritage site. To end today's guided tour, we will take you to the Red Theater for a Chinese Kung Fu Show.

Day 3: Beijing
After breakfast, we will drive to Mutianyu Great Wall. Upon arrival, your guide will escort you to a round-trip cable car, by which you will ascend and descend the Great Wall. You will enjoy a splendid view of the Great Wall, flexibly meandering into the distance with the vibrant vegetation. On the Great Wall, we will toast to the moment with red wine.

Lunch is not offered today, because the restaurants nearby don’t meet our service standard. It is recommended that you have a big breakfast or bring something to eat. Your professional guide will also give you useful advice for lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue to a local market for a free exploration.

Day 4: Beijing - Xi'an
The first stop of your Lhasa to Kathmandu tour package for today is the Summer Palace, an imperial garden complex in the Qing Dynasty. You will enjoy the traditional Chinese structures in elegant designs and the emerald lakes. Then we will stop by the Beijing National Stadium (the Bird's Nest) for its interesting façade. After that, we will drive to an excellent restaurant and have an a la carte lunch there.

In the afternoon, we will move to the Hutongs, the narrow alleys between the ancient residences, for a rickshaw tour, which will give you an insight into the traditional lifestyle of Beijing. Afterwards, you will have a Chinese paper cutting lesson to experience the ancient folk art in China. Then we will escort you to the airport for your flight to Xi’an. Upon arrival, your local guide will greet you and then transfer you to the hotel.

Day 5: Xi'an
In the morning, we will set out for the Eighth Wonder of the World - the marvelous Terracotta Army, the terracotta sculpture groups depicting the army of the Emperor Qin Shi Huang. You will marvel at the unique faces of soldiers and the amazing designs of the ancient weapons. Coming out from the monument, we will visit a local family, and have an authentic home-cooked a la carte lunch. You can also follow your hostess to cook your own Chinese dishes.

In the afternoon, we will proceed to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, also called the Jianfu Temple. It was built in 707AD and once used as a storage room of the Buddhist scriptures originating from India. Then we will visit the Xi'an Museum to gain an insight into the history Xi'an. Tonight, you will be taken to watch a Tang Dynasty Show and enjoy a dumpling dinner at the same time.

Friendly Tips: We will not go for the show in January, February, March and December, as the theater is usually not open during this period. Instead, you will enjoy the time free at leisure.

Day 6: Xi'an – Lhasa
In the morning, we will escort you to the airport, where you will take your flight to Lhasa. Once you arrive, your local guide will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. After settling in, we suggest you take a good rest, as the acclimatization to the high altitude (3650 meters above the sea level) is necessary. It is also advisable to have light foods like vegetables, and stop smoking, drinking, and intense exercise.

Day 7: Lhasa
Today, your Tibet to Kathmandu tour package will start with an exploration of Norbulingka Park, built in 1755 as a summer resort of the Dalai Lamas. The structures in Tibetan architectural style and the vibrant vegetation will create a fresh morning atmosphere. Then, we will proceed to the Sera Monastery, the second largest temple in Tibet that is rich in Buddhist scriptures and artistic collections. Our last stop for today is the Platform of Yaowang Hill, the best place to admire the magnificent Potala Palace from the distance.

Day 8: Lhasa
Today we will start with a highlight in our tour package - the Potala Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site built in 1645. It is a perfect combination of palace, fort and temple, and was once the winter palace of the Dalai Lamas. Afterwards, we will visit Jokhang Temple, one of the holiest temples in Tibet featuring an architectural style - local mixed with Indian, Tibetan and Nepalese designs. Next, we will head to Barkhor Street, a 1000-year-old circumambulation where you will learn about the traditional Tibetan culture and lifestyle. Lastly, we will end the Tibet tour at the nearby Anitsangkung Nunnery, the only nunnery in Lhasa.

Day 9: Lhasa - Kathmandu
Today comes the next destination of your Lhasa Kathmandu tour package - Kathmandu. In the morning, we will escort you to the Lhasa Airport, where you will board your flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be picked up by our local representatives and transferred to your hotel.

Day 10: Kathmandu - Bhaktapur – Kathmandu
After breakfast, we will set off to the Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site with a history of over 400 years. It is one of the largest and holiest Hindu temples in Nepal. Our next stop is Bhaktapur Durbar Square, also a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you will glean some Nepal history from its ancient temples. Here we will lead you to visit the soaring Nyatapola Temple dedicated to the Goddess Siddhi Laxmi, and the wooden Dattatreya Temple featuring the intricate erotic carvings. Our last attraction today is the Changu Narayan Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Besides the delicate structures, you will also enjoy a splendid panorama of the Kathmandu Valley.

Day 11: Kathmandu - Patan – Kathmandu
In the morning, we will visit the famous Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple. As one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Nepal, this UNESCO World Heritage site has been standing for over 2,500 years. Afterwards, we will head to Kathmandu Durbar Square with 50 temples from the 16th century to the 19th century. Here we will visit a Buddhist temple - Kumari Temple famous for the living Goddess, and stop by two Hindu temples - Taleju Temple, the highest temple in Kathmandu, and Kal Bhairav with the enormous sculpture of Lord Bhairav. Then follows a visit to Boudhanath Stupa, a 1400-year-old Buddhist stupa considered the symbolic structure of Kathmandu. We will round off our Lhasa to Kathmandu tour package with a visit to Patan Durbar Square, like a ‘museum’ of the ancient Newari structures. In the square, we will guide you to visit the 12th-century Golden Temple with gilded buildings and golden sculptures.
