Day 1: Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, Pick up from the airport
After arriving in Ho Chi Minh City, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional tour guide and driver at the airport and then be escorted to the Liberty Central Saigon Riverside Hotel we booked for you. On the way, your guide will give you a brief introduction of this charming city and upon arrival, he/she will help you check into the hotel. The rest of the day will be free for you. You may either explore around on your own or have some rest at the hotel to adjust to jet lag.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City highlights with Cu Chi Tunnel
After breakfast today, we will drive for around 1.5 hours to Cu Chi Tunnels, which is the haven of Vietcong during the Vietnam War. It has three floors with a length of 160 miles, like a fully functioning underground city. After entering in, you will be escorted to visit the bedrooms, kitchens, meeting rooms, hospitals, granaries, wells, military traps and etc and after the visit, you will get a sense of the Vietnam war.

In the afternoon, we will visit several attractions in downtown area. At first, we will head to the Saigon Opera House, which is a typical Gothic theater. Then Ho Chi Minh City Hall, which was built by French in the late 19th century. It is Rococo style with red roofs and white walls. After that, continue to the Neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral and the French classical Reunification Palace, both of which are famous landmarks of the city. At last, you will be taken to the Ben Thanh Market, where you can buy various handicrafts and taste the authentic local delicacies.

Day 3: Drive 1.5h to My Tho, Enjoy islands scenery on boat, Drive 1.5h to Can Tho
Today, we will drive to My Tho, which is located in the Mekong Delta and about 70 miles away from Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, a motorboat will be arranged to take you to visit the fish market and four attractive islands, the Dragon Island, the Turtle Island, the Phoenix Island, as well as the Unicorn Island. The delicious delicacies, tropical fruits, religious culture and traditional performances on these islands will definitely offer you an unforgettable experience. In addition, a visit to a beautiful village will be also arranged for you and you will have an opportunity to enjoy the honey tea at a villager's house. After finishing the boat tour, we will drive for around 1.5 hour to Can Tho and upon arrival, your guide will help you check into the hotel.

Day 4: Visit the Cai Rang Floating Market, Drive 3.5h to Ho Chi Minh City, Fly 1.5h to Hue
We will take a cruise on the Mekong River in the morning, and in about an hour's time, we will arrive at the Cai Rang Floating Market, which is the largest floating market in the world. Every day before dawn, the locals will get up, get their goods ready and head to the floating market, which is usually between 05:00 to 09:00. Here, you'll find the river full of boats and every boat full of various kinds of goods, including fresh fruits, vegetables as well as exquisite handicrafts. If you're interested, you could try to buy something here. 

After that, your guide will escort you to the airport to catch the flight to Hue. Upon arrival, your guide in Hue will accompany you to the Moonlight Hotel.

Day 5: Hue city highlights with the Tomb of Ming Mang
This morning, we will head to visit the Tomb of Minh Mang, which is the most complete and beautiful tomb in Hue. This grand mausoleum is surrounded by mountains and rivers, incorporating harmoniously with its surroundings. Then, we will take a boat sailing along the picturesque Perfume River (Song Huong River) to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, which has a history of more than 400 years. Besides, it is also in a good location, where you could enjoy excellent views. 

After that, we will proceed to Hue Imperial City, which is known as the largest and best-preserved ancient architectural complex in Vietnam. Taking a few steps into the citadel, the Forbidden Purple City, the former residence of the royal family will be in front of you. The last destination today will be the Dong Ba Market, where you could buy seafood, bamboo hats, silk paintings and other famous Vietnamese things.

Day 6: Scenic transfer to Hoi An via Da Nang coast line
Today, we will head for Hoi An, a multicultural town in Vietnam. En route, we will stop at Da Nang to visit the Hai Van Pass, the Non Nuoc Beach and the Cham Museum. The Hai Van Pass is a branch of Truong Son. The top of the pass is surrounded by clouds and seems to connect with the blue sky. After climbing the pass, it could be quite comfortable to have some free time wandering on the Non Nuoc Beach. Then we will come to the Cham Museum to appreciate the stone and pottery carvings of Champa from the 7th to 15th century. Afterwards, we will continue to drive to Hoi An and upon arrival, your guide will help you check into the hotel. The rest of the day will be at your disposal. You may stroll around the Hoi An Ancient Town freely.

Day 7: Hoi An Ancient Town sightseeing on foot with a boat tour
Today, your guide will take you to explore the Hoi An Ancient Town on foot first. The Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese cultures co-exist in this town, so you can find various building styles here. Among them, the Japanese Covered Bridge, which is the combination of Japanese and Chinese architecture styles, can't not be missed. In addition, we will also pray in a Chinese temple, Quan Kong Temple, where you could pray for wealth and safety, and visit the Old House of Tan Ky, which is a former Vietnamese merchants' house.

Later, we will take a boat trip along the Huai River and stop at the Thanh Ha Pottery Village, where you can watch the process of making delicate potteries. These varied shaped pottery are often used in the daily life of local people and the biggest feature of the pottery here is that it is lighter compared with those made in other places.

Day 8: Drive 1.5h to Da Nang, Fly 1.5h to Hanoi
You can make your own arrangements to travel around Hoi An Ancient Town this morning. In the afternoon, you will be escorted to Da Nang International Airport to catch the fight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, your Hanoi guide will help you settle down at the hotel, and you may enjoy the rest time of the day freely.

Day 9: Hanoi city sightseeing with the Museum of Ethnology
Today we will come to the Ba Dinh Square to visit Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh's Stilt House and the Presidential Palace. Ho Chi Minh, the founding father of Vietnam, led Vietnam to victory in the War against France and established the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. After the visiting, you will know better about this great person. Then we will walk to the nearby One Pillar Pagoda, which is like a lotus and dedicated to Arya Avalokiteshvara. Afterwards, the next stop will be the West Lake, where you could visit the Tran Quoc Pagoda and the Quan Thanh Temple. The Tran Quoc Pagoda, built in the 6th century, is the most beautiful ancient building by the West Lake in Hanoi as well as the most active temple in Hanoi. The Quan Thanh Temple, a Taoist monastery, features the exquisite bas-reliefs and stately statue of the Zhenwu Emperor.

After that, you will be taken to the Museum of Ethnology, where you can learn more Vietnam's various ethnic groups in through the daily articles, traditional art works and instruments, as well as the national and religious scriptures displayed inside. Afterwards, we will head to the Old Quarter, also called 36 Streets. Here, one kind of goods is sold in one street. At the end of the day, a wonderful water puppet show will be arranged for you at the Thang Long Water Puppet Theater.

Day 10: Drive 3h to Halong Bay, Halong Bay Cruise
Today, we will drive for around 3 hours to the Halong Bay, which is known for its charming waterscape. After arrival, you will board the Signature Cruise and then have a welcome drink and lunch. Along the way, the beautiful hills rising above the water will come into your sight continuously.

In the afternoon, you will be taken to visit a typical karst cave in Halong Bay, which looks quite splendid with colorful stalactites in different shapes. For the rest of the day, you can either enjoy the picturesque scenery on the deck, or take part in some optional activities like kayaking, diving, and swimming. You will stay overnight on the cruise ship.

Day 11: Halong Bay Cruise, Fly 1.5h to Luang Prabang
Today, you can get up early and take a Tai Chi class on the upper deck. After some morning exercise, you could enjoy tea or coffee in the dining room. Then a small boat will take you to visit the beautiful islands nearby. After returning to the cruise, you could enjoy a rich brunch while the cruise sailing back to the Halong Bay Wharf.

Your guide will wait for you at the wharf and then take you to Hanoi Airport to catch the flight to Luang Prabang, one of the most beautiful cities in Laos. Upon arrival, your local guide and driver in Luang Prabang will meet you at the airport and drive you to the hotel we booked for you. The rest of the day will be free for you.

Day 12: Luang Prabang day tour on Mekong River
Today's tour will start with the Pak Ou Caves, which is 25 kilometers (16 miles) upstream of the Mekong River. Here, you can admire thousands of Buddha sculptures in all kinds of gestures. Then we will head to Ban Xieng Lek Village and Ban Xang Khong Village to watch the process of making Saa Jute Paper, which is usually made of mulberry bark dropped from trees.

Next, we will head for the Mount Phousi, the holy land of the Hinayana. On the way, we will explore some temples and you may have a chance to appreciate the original murals in Wat Pa Huak. When arrive at the top of Mount Phousi, you can find the starting point of Lao New Year Parade, That Chomsi Pagoda. In addition, if weather permits, you could also enjoy the sunset here, which is amazing. At last, we will lead you to the Phousi Market.

Day 13: Luang Prabang sightseeing with the Kuang Si Falls
The Alms Giving Ceremony in the morning is a massive scene in Luang Prabang. The Buddhist monks from different temples will get together for their daily meals at around 6:00. You may get up early to watch this solemn ceremony if you are willing to. After the ceremony, you can return to the hotel for the breakfast. Then we will head to visit Wat Xieng Thong and Wat Visoun. After that, we will visit the Royal Palace Museum to get a better understanding of Lao history and customs. 

In the afternoon, we'll drive for around 30 kilometers (19 miles) and about 50 minutes to admire the beautiful Kuang Si Falls. The water tends to be blue because of the rich minerals and some pools have formed under the small falls. After finishing the visit, we will return back to the hotel.
