On the appointed day, please reach the house on time and meet the welcoming hostess and her families at their home. Apart from her rich cooking experience, the hostess is also very friendly and patient to carefully teach you how to cook local dishes.
After a brief introduction and chatting, she will accompany you to the local street market. To some extent, the market can reflect the daily life of the citizens. When you walk around the market, the hostess will serve as your private guide and tell you about some basic Indian ingredients and featured farming produces used in Indian cuisines. During your tour in the bazaar, the main task is to buy some ingredients and vegetables for your following cooking lesson. The ingredients depend on your preferred menu, but due to local religions and eating habits, most dishes are vegetarian. Certainly, fried chicken will be available for meat lovers.
After getting back to the house, the hostess will lead you to their kitchen. Her families may join us and show you how to cook traditional vegetarian Rajasthani dishes. They will teach you in patience and explain every steps for you during the cooking.
As the menu varies with seasonal changes, the following lists some popular cuisines for your reference. Thali, a typical Indian style food that served with a round platter, containing various dishes such as vegetables, rice, curry and flatbreads. Pyaaz ki Kachori, a kind of spicy pastry filled with onions and potatoes. Gatte Ki Sabji, steamed gram-flour pieces cooked with spicy curry. If you go there on the traditional festival, you may get the chance to learn about cooking Teej Ghevar, a disc-shaped sweet.
