Day 1: Delhi
On the first day of the 2 day trip from Delhi, we will visit the best scenic spots in Delhi.

In the morning, our driver will pick you up at your hotel in Delhi or at the airport. We will en route meet our private guide and then go directly to visit Raj Ghat, the symbolic tomb of Gandhi, who was the father of India. Gandhi's cremains were sprinkled in the ocean, people just go to Raj Ghat to memorize him. After that, appreciate Red Fort from the outside. Red Fort was the imperial palace of Mughal Empire (1527-1857 AD), and a typical Islamic architecture in Mughal style. Next, we will go sightseeing at Jama Masjid Mosque, which is equally famous with the Great Mosque of Mecca and Al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo. It is the largest mosque in India. Following, a rickshaw ride at Chandni Chowk, the famous fair in New Delhi is waiting for you. We will leave you some time to hang out and buy some things you like here, and enjoy lunch nearby.

In the afternoon, we will visit Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. The 72.5-meter-high (79 yards) Qutub Minar is a tapered tower that was built in 1193 AD to celebrate the victory of Islam in the city, now becoming a symbol of Delhi. Humayun's Tomb is the mausoleum of the second emperor Humayun of Mughal Empire, which was built in 1556 AD. It is one of the best architectures in India as well as a milestone of architecture development at that time, with a white dome surrounded by red sandstone walls. Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is the largest holy place of Sikhism in Delhi, which was firstly built in 17th century. Its golden domes and high flag pole make it extremely conspicuous.

In the afternoon, we will go to Agra Fort near Taj Mahal. Agra Fort is both a palace and a castle, as the imperial city from 16th century to the early 18th century. Jehangir's Palace, Octagonal Tower and Moti Masjid are the greatest architectures inside Agra Fort. The last stop of our 2 day trip near Delhi is Itimad-ud-Daulah Tomb, which is regarded as Baby Taj. It is the tomb of a minister, the father of an imperial concubine of Mughal Empire. The architecture style of Itimad-ud-Daulah Tomb is quite similar to Taj Mahal, but Itimad-ud-Daulah is idyllically peaceful rather than Taj Mahal is grand.

This 2 days trip near Delhi ends here. Our driver in Agra will send you to train station to take the train GATIMAAN EXP (12049) at 17:50 to Delhi. There will be a simple dinner snack on the train. Upon arrival in Delhi at around 19:30, please return to the hotel by taxi on your own. Of course, if you need a transfer service from the train station to your hotel, please book with us at any time.
