Day 1: Arrival in Delhi, Airport pick-up
Welcome to India! Upon arrival at Delhi airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel, where our representative will help you check in and brief you about the following tours. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2: Old & New Delhi city tour
After breakfast, our 10-day India tour comes to Old Delhi, once a walled city built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in 1639 AD. We start our guided tour with Raj Ghat, the cremation place and a memorial of the father of India - Mahatma Gandhi. Next we go to Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India which can hold 25,000 devotees. Then we will drive by the Red Fort, a massive Mughal fort built of red sandstone. Afterwards, we will take a leisurely rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk, one of the Delhi's oldest markets which is popular with both locals and tourists alike.
Our next stop is Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, the largest Sikh house of worship which is made of white marble. Next, we will go to Humayun's tomb, which reputedly inspired the design of Taj Mahal. Later we will visit Qutub Minar, the India's tallest Minaret and covered in exquisite carvings and murals. Our last stop today is the India Gate, a memorial for the soldiers who died in the First War. On our way back to your hotel, you will see the Parliament House, President's House and other Government Secretarial Buildings from your car.
Humayun's Tomb: If your time permits, you could visit Humayun's Tomb before the sun sets down to avoid the crowds. Besides, you could enjoy the beautiful scenery of sunset as the tomb changes golden gradually.
Day 3: 7-hour train ride from Delhi to Ajmer & Drive 30mins to Pushkar
Ajmer Shatabdi, departing from Delhi at 06:05 am & Arriving Ajmer at 12:45 pm
Today our 10 days holiday package in India proceeds to Ajmer Shatabdi. In the early morning (packed cold breakfast offered), we will transfer you to the train station, and help you get seated in your train (at 06:05 a.m.) to Ajmer. On arrival (at 12:45 p.m.) at Ajmer train station, you will be greeted by our representative and escorted to your hotel in Pushkar.
In the afternoon, you will visit Pushkar, a holy town for both Hindus and Sikhs. The city has many 18th-century temples, ghats and religious legends related to them. Pushkar is also famous for its Camel Fair when thousands of camels are traded.
Day 4: Drive 5.5h from Pushkar to Udaipur by private car
After breakfast, we will drive to the next stop of our 10 days trip in India - Udaipur. During the ride, we will make refreshment or photos stops per your request. Upon arrival, our driver will help you check in at your hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure.
Day 5: Tour of heritage places in Udaipur
After breakfast our guided tour begins with the City Palace, a 16th-century palace complex featuring a combination of Medieval, European and Chinese architectures. Next is the Jagdish Temple, an Indo-Aryan style temple built in 1651 and dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Then we will drive around Fatehsagar Lake, a 17th-century artificial lake with an observatory. Later, we come to Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir, a folk-art museum where you can learn about the diverse Rajasthani cultural heritage. The last destination today is Sahelion ki Bari (Queen's resort for her friends), a beautiful 18th-century garden with a variety of fountains.
Day 6: 6-hour drive from Udaipur to Jodhpur with visit of Ranakpur
After breakfast, we will drive from Udaipur to Jodhpur. En route we will stop at Ranakpur (98km from Udaipur) and visit the 15th-century Jain Temples, of which Chamukha temple of Ranakpur is the most popular in Ranakpur. Here you can see 29 halls, 80 domes and over a thousand pillars with intricate carvings. After, we will continue the drive to Jodhpur. Upon arrival, your driver will assist you to check in at your hotel. You can spend the rest day at leisure.
Day 7: Jodhpur city tour, 6 hours’ drive from Jodhpur to Jaipur
After breakfast, we will set off to Mehrangarh Fort, a 15th-century enormous fortress standing on a 410-feet (125 m) hill. During the guided visit to the fort, we will see Phool Mahal (the Palace of Flowers). The interior is colorfully decorated and bears many folk-art elements. On leaving the fort we go to Jaswant Thada, a marble mausoleum built in 1899 for Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Then we continue to Umaid Bhawan Museum, which has many artefacts including weapons, leopard specimens, etc. on display. The last stop today is at the Sardar Market, an old market located around the Clock Tower, a noted landmark of this city. Afterwards, your driver will take you to Jaipur. Upon arrival, you will check in at your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 8: Jaipur full day tour with Amber Fort
After breakfast, today's journey starts with Amber Fort (Amber Palace) sightseeing. It was once the capital of Jaipur and the residence of Rajput royals. Then we will admire the Jal Mahal from distance, which is a palace sits in lake center. Later we will proceed to Maharaja City Palace, an excellent fusion of Mughal and Rajput styles built in 1729. Next, we come to Jantar Mantar, a more than 300-year-old observatory with the world's largest sundial and precise instruments. Then we will admire Hawa Mahal from outside. Also called as the Palace of Winds, it is famous for its pink and honeycomb-like architecture. Walking through the business center of Jaipur, we come to our last stop for today - the Birla Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and his consort. After, you will be escorted back to your hotel.
Day 9: Drive for 5h from Jaipur to Agra with visit of Fatehpur Sikri
Today we will drive from Jaipur to Agra. During the ride we will stop at Fatehpur Sikri, an ancient town built in 1571 by Emperor Akbar. Here you will see many Mughal monuments and gain an insight of Mughal civilization. Upon arrival at Agra, the driver will help you check in at the hotel.
Day 10: Visit Taj Mahal, Drive 3.5h to Delhi & Airport see-off
In the early morning, we will take you to Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday) at sunrise. Renowned as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal, a beautiful white marble mausoleum, was built in the 17th century by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal. Afterwards we will have a breakfast break and then go to Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which has a long history. It was once the residence of the Mughal emperors and is reputed to be the best Mughal fort in India.
When the tour is concluded, you will be escorted to Delhi International airport, where our representative will help you board your homebound flight. Thanks for choosing our India itinerary 10 days. We wish you a satisfying journey home!
