Day 1: Drive to Hustai National Park for the Przewalski Horse
Thank you for choosing our Horse Tour Mongolia! Our guide will pick you up at your hotel in Ulaanbaatar at 9:00 in the morning.
First, we will visit Hustai National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site. Located about 100 km (62 miles) southwest of Ulaanbaatar, this reserve was established to protect the rare Przewalski horse of Mongolia. Covering 125,085 acres, the park is a paradise for various animals as well as plants. On arrival at Hustai National Park, we will check in to our Mongolian yurts and have lunch.
After lunch we will drive to the wild animal zone in the south of Ungut Mountain, where you may see quite a few energetic creatures in the wild grassland. We will also visit a local herdsman family with our guide to experience the local customs and taste the tasty ethnic foods provided by the hospitable host.
Next, we will continue our Horse Trip Mongolia to explore Hustai National Park to see the real wild horses. If we are lucky, we may see other wild animals, which include 43 species of mammals, 217 kinds of birds, plus countless amphibians, fish and insects. The park is also rich in a great many grassland plants, such as vascular plants, lichens, moss and fungus.
Finishing the day's activities, we will have our dinner in the Mongolian yurts and sleep in the yurts at night, too.

Day 2: Explore Gorkhi-Terelj National Park and Genghis Khan Statue Complex
Continuing on the Horse Tour Mongolia, we will set off to Terelj National Park at 8:00 after breakfast. Terelj National Park is a natural reserve that is now a summer resort. In the park, you can admire the beautiful Mongolian landscapes with verdant hills, lush woods, vast meadows, groups of horses and the white yurts. It is a popular place for local people to take a holiday.
After lunch, our guide will lead you to explore Terelj National Park. We'll visit Turtle Rock and the Ariyabal Meditation Temple. Turtle Rock is the focal point of the National Park. It is an extremely large rock naturally shaped like a turtle. You may climb up it to get a better view of the surrounding area. Ariyabal Temple is a small temple on a hill for people to meditate. It is said that the fresh air and fine views make your thoughts pure and deep.
Then, follow your guide to the Genghis Khan Statue Complex. It is the world's largest statue of Genghis Khan and is made of stainless steel. It depicts the great emperor Genghis Khan riding a great horse while holding his sword on his belt. There is also a single floor house constructed under the statue that is open as a museum to display the relics and culture of the nomadic people. The lift will take you up to the observatory on the horse's head, which has a panoramic view of the grassland.
When the visit is over, our guide will escort you back to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Then our Horse Tour Mongolia comes to a successful close. Have fun on the trip!
