Trip Planning FAQs
How many days should I spend for a Ho Chi Minh tour?
Generally, 2 to 3 days will be enough. For inner city tour, normally we suggest one day with top attractions of War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office and Ben Thanh Market.
For 2 days' travel, besides the sightseeing in downtown area, you can extend one day to Cu Chi Tunnels to discover the mysterious underground network and learn more about the real life of Viet Cong soldiers during the war.
If you have 3 days, you will have a chance to explore Mekong Delta area. Tasting traditional foods, visiting local island orchards, interacting with local people are all the best ways to enjoy the real local life. It is better to plan 3 days to enjoy all these together.
Is the tour to Cu Chi Tunnels physically demanding and what should I wear?
Cu Chi Tunnel is an underground network built by Viet Cong soldiers during the war. A certain amount of walking is needed when you visit Cu Chi Tunnels, especially, going through down to the tunnels. Sometimes it may need bent forward for a while. For travelers who use wheelchair, they are unable to go inside the tunnels; for travelers who have back problems, they could only go through part of the tunnels. Whereas they still could visit some exhibits, watch the documentaries, explore the ground traps, and stroll around the rifle range.
For wearing, T-shirts, jeans or shorts, and comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended when touring to Cu Chi Tunnels. Besides, bug spray will also be necessary as there are lots of insects in Cu Chi area.
It is possible to visit Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta area in one day for my Ho Chi Minh tour package?
The Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta area are located in different directions of Ho Chi Minh City, and both of them are a bit far from Ho Chi Minh City with around 1.5 to 2 hours driving. One day tour to these two sites will be very tight and exhausting. To make your trip pleasant and comfortable, we do not suggest visiting them in same day.
