Itinerary Details
Welcome to Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. Today our guide will take you to explore this city and learn more about its history, development, and culture. At 8:00 in the morning, our guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby.

Our Hanoi day trips begin from a must-see sight in Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh Complex, including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (it is closed every Monday, Friday & annual maintenance during Jun-Aug.), Ho Chi Minh Museum, Presidential Palace and Stilt House. Ho Chi Minh Complex is on the west side of Ba Dinh Square. Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is the grandest building there with stands, keeping the remains of Vietnam's embalmed leader Ho Chi Minh. Ho Chi Minh Museum opened in 1991 officially to commemorate great Vietnam's leader, with a number of pictures and relics on display. The French style Presidential Palace with a wonderful garden will bring you peace and relax. Inside the Presidential Palace, the Stilt House is actually a two-story former residence of Ho Chi Minh, which is quite simple with a sitting room, a bedroom, and an office. Our guide will introduce the Ho Chi Minh's life stories as the first national leader of Vietnam. You'll know more about this great man in depth who led Vietnamese people to independence and liberation. We'll spend 1.5-2 hours here.

There is a stone bridge connecting the land and One Pillar Pagoda. Watching from a distance, One Pillar Pagoda is like a large lotus flower in full bloom in the lake.

Then you'll also visit the Temple of Literature & National University. It is a typical Chinese architecture complex mostly constructed in the 17th century, dedicated to Confucius and other ancient learned Confucianists of both China and Vietnam. Temple of Literature & National University consists of several yards with old cypresses, clear pond, stone bridge and other cultural relics, witnessing the imperial examination system and the establishment of the first university in Vietnam.

After that, your guide will take you to a local restaurant for your lunch. After lunch, the next stop of our Hanoi day trips is the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. Vietnam is a multi-nationality country with 54 ethnic groups totally. Vietnam Museum of Ethnology mainly displays various costumes, musical instruments, wedding and funeral necessities, sacrifice objects and daily tools of each ethnic minority.
