    Arrival in Istanbul

    After arriving in Istanbul, the largest city and port in Turkey, you will be transferred to check in the hotel and the remaining day is free for you to have a good rest.

    Istanbul - Safranbolu

    After breakfast, you will head for the Safranbolu. As one of the courier stations on the Silk Road, Safranbolu is renowned for its crocus trading center. With more than one thousand historical buildings in the city, Safranbolu is pervaded with the flavor of Silk Road of Ottoman period. And therefore, the whole city has been selected as the World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Visitors can wander around the city leisurely to visit the specialty stores of bazaar and taste the famous crocus candy.

    Safranbolu – Ankara - Cappadocia

    Today we will leave Safranbolu for Ankara. As the capital of Turkey, Ankara is an international metropolis initially blueprinted by the Father of Turkey – Atatürk. Upon arrival, you will visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilsations which is one of the most important archaeological museums in Turkey. The visitors who are fond of ancient civilization should not miss this museum. Then proceed to visit the memorial of Mustafa Kemal who is the founder of the Republic of Turkey. After lunch, you will drive to the Cappadocia which is well known for its horses and religion.

    Cappadocia

    Cappadocia has once witnessed the rise of numerous powers in Asia Minor and has become an important city for the development of Christianity. After breakfast, you can visit the underground city. The city was actually a refuge and the opinions of its origin are widely divided. Then you will visit the Goreme Open-air Museum, which is the religious center established through the manual labor of the Christians. Tonight, we will arrange you to enjoy the formal SEMA to have a deeper understanding on the Islamic Sufi faith.

    Cappadocia - Konya

    Today’s tour will take you to visit Konya. As the capital of Turkey in the Seljuk period, Konya is now one of the cities with the most religious atmosphere in Turkey. Upon arrival, you will visit the Mevlana Museum. It should be mentioned that cameras are forbidden in the museum. The rest of the day is free for you to explore.

    Konya - Aspendos - Antalya

    In the morning, drive to Aspendos to visit the best-preserved amphitheater and aqueduct in Turkey. After that, proceed to the beautiful Mediterranean port city—Antalya, which is also an important sightseeing city of Turkey. Upon arrival, we are going to visit the old city of Antalya. There are various protected historical buildings, such as the mosque with Anatolian traditional vaults, the “Islamic Schools” with delicate carvings on the arches, the “Old Port” thronged with white yachts and traditional colorful fishing boats and so on.

    Antalya - Myra - Aphrodisias - Pamukkale

    Today you will head for Myra. Myra is famous for St. Nicholas, the prototype of "Santa Claus". You will visit the St. Nicholas Church here. Then proceed to visit the historical sites in the ancient city of Aphrodisias. After lunch, you will move to visit Pamukkale, the place of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage and walk from the "Hierapolis Sacred City" to the "Travertine Terrain Area".

    Pamukkale - Ephesus - Izmir/ Istanbul

    Ephesus is located in Asia Minor, which was once one of the worlds largest cities in the ancient times. You will visit the important buildings of Ephusus along the Roman road, such as the Bazaar, public baths, library and theater. Afterwards, you can visit the House of Virgin Mary and Izmir which is the third largest city in Turkey. After dinner, you will return to Istanbul by air.

    Istanbul

    Today, you will cruise along the Golden Horn and the Bosphorus to tour the famous scenic spots of Istanbul. Then, you will visit the Dolmabahce Palace which is the most magnificent palace in Europe. After lunch, transfer to visit the historical sites in Istanbul: the St-sophia-church, the Blue Mosque, the Yerebatan Underground Cistern and the Galata Tower. On the top of tower, you can overlook the beautiful night view of Istanbul and have dinner there.

    Today’s trip is still arranged in Istanbul. You will firstly visit the Topkapi Palace which embodies the construction peak of Ottoman palace. After that you can visit the Chora Church, the greatest palace of religious art in Istanbul. Lastly, the Grand Bazaar with over 4000 shops and maze-shaped alleys will not be missed in the list of tourism.

    Morning is free for you to arrange. You may have a good rest at hotel or stroll around the city once more. Then transfer to the airport and take a flight leaving from Turkey.
