Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
Our local guide will greet you at the airport and our experienced driver will transfer you to the hotel for check in.

Accommodation: The Great Wall Hotel Beijing (5 stars) - the former Sheraton

Day 2: Beijing
In the morning, the guide will introduce the tour itinerary for the Beijing Xian Chengdu Shanghai tour. The first stop in China is Tiananmen Square followed by the Forbidden City. The architectural complex is composed of an Outer Court and Inner Court. The Outer Court is used for official affairs, while the Inner Court is a residence.

At noon, an a la carte lunch with Peking Duck will be provided.

After a short break, we will visit the Temple of Heaven, which is the general term for the Circular Mound Altar and Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. Then you will be invited to a Chinese Kung Fu Show to appreciate traditional Chinese Kung Fu.

Day 3: Beijing
Today’s tour begins from Mutianyu Great Wall. For this part, we will take a round-trip cable car. You will notice that around this section of the Great Wall the vegetation coverage is as high as 96 %. Some of the watchtowers reach up to 500m. Once on the wall, we will celebrate a toast with red wine. Afterwards, explore a well-known traditional local market in the downtown area before coming back to your hotel.

Day 4: Beijing - Xi'an
In the morning, we will visit the Summer Palace at first, one of the four most famous Chinese gardens and the biggest existing imperial garden in China. Then we will drive by and stop at the Olympic National Stadium (Bird's Nest) for a while.

After lunch, we will continue our trip to Hutong, a kind of special alley in Beijing. We will experience the rickshaw and paper cutting there.

After visiting the Hutong, the guide will accompany you to the airport. The local guide in Xi’an will pick you up at Xian’yang Airport and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 5: Xi'an
Xi'an, the second city of the Beijing Xi'an Chengdu Shanghai tour package, is also an impressive experience. The Terracotta Army is particularly famous for having played an important role in the history of Chinese sculpture and is a worthwhile attraction. All the warriors in the museum are painted and exhibit different expressions and appearances.

At noon, the guide will lead you to a warm-hearted local family where you will be invited to taste an authentic home-cooked lunch.

In the afternoon, we will proceed to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda at first. The Small Wild Goose Pagoda is a Buddhist pagoda with dense eaves and built of blue bricks. The tower can be ascended via the wooden stairs circling all the way to the top. Afterwards, we will watch a fabulous Tang Dynasty Show and enjoy a Dumpling Dinner.

Friendly Tips:
As the theater is usually not open in Jan, Feb, Mar and Dec, we will not arrange the show and dumpling dinner for tours during the periods. Guests will enjoy free time to relax.

Day 6: Xi'an
After observing the local life in the park, we will meet a master of Tai Chi and learn from him. Then we will visit the City Wall. The remaining City Wall was built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and lies in the city centre. The scenic area also consists of the City Moat, the forest shelter belt and Shuncheng Road.

After an a la carte lunch, we will visit the Provincial History Museum, one of the national first-class museums. The museum is known for various exhibits such as bronze ware, wall paintings of Tang Dynasty (618-907), and terracotta figures, ceramics and currency of all ages. We will later explore the Muslim Quarter, the most famous place in Xi'an to taste some delicious local food before seeing the Great Mosque.

Day 7: Xi'an - Chengdu
Our guide will escort you to the morning high-speed train to Chengdu. It will take 4 hours to get to the destination. The local guide will meet you at the train station and help you to transfer and check in. Then the rest of the day will be your free time. Do whatever you like. If you have any problem, ask our guide for help.

Day 8: Chengdu
Today, we will visit our national treasure and the must-see attraction in our Beijing Xian Chengdu Shanghai tour package - the Giant Pandas at the Giant Panda Base. The base itself showcases everything panda-related including a Giant Panda Museum, Giant Panda Science Exploration Museum, Panda Hospital and Giant Panda Kitchen from which you can learn more about this special animal. Then we will continue the tour to Broad and Narrow Alley where you will encounter different architectural styles. There are the city and barracks, Hutongs from the north and courtyards of Sichuan, western architecture in the Republic of China and the local dwellings.

To know the culture of ancient Sichuan and the bronze civilization, the guide will arrange Jinsha Cite Museum for you in the afternoon. This visit will be followed by a tour of Renmin Park, the largest open historical park of landscape architecture.

Day 9: Chengdu - Shanghai
The guide will send you to your flight to Shanghai. After arriving there, the local guide will transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day can be for relaxing or exploring on your own.

Day 10: Shanghai
In the morning, we will visit Shanghai Museum which houses many collections including imperial seal, jade wares, various paintings and ethnic crafts. Then we will go to Yu garden, an important attraction in downtown. You can also explore the traditional bazaar and look for souvenirs.

Since you will depart from China, we will arrange an a la carte farewell lunch. We hope you enjoy it.

In the afternoon, we will tour the Former French Concession, and then head to the Bund to take a Huangpu River cruise. This is the end of the Beijing Xian Chengdu Shanghai tour.

Day 11: Departure from Shanghai
After breakfast at the hotel, you have some free time before leaving for the airport on your own. Please remember to check out before 12:00 and get to the airport earlier in case of missing the flight. We recommend you take a taxi to the airport. We wish you a safe trip back.
