Day 2: Beijing
Your Beijing to Kathmandu tour officially starts today. At around 08:30 a.m., you will meet other group members in the hotel lobby. Your guide will organize a 30-minute meeting to present a self-introduction and brief you on the detailed itinerary of your China Nepal tour. Any questions about the trip will be answered during the meeting.

After the briefing, we will drive you to the Tiananmen Square, one of the world's largest city squares with a history of more than 600 years. Then we will head to the Forbidden City, also known as the Imperial Palace. This 500-year-old palace complex is where many emperors from the Ming to Qing dynasties lived. The thousands of artistic treasures and rich records of Chinese history will give you an eye-opening experience.

Then we will arrange an à la carte welcome lunch for you with the famous local cuisine - Peking Duck. You will also have chance to sample various authentic Chinese foods. After lunch, your guide will take you to visit the Temple of Heaven built in 1420. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the Temple of Heaven was the religious venue where the emperor prayed for good harvests. Lastly, a dramatic Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theater will end your charming Beijing tour for today.

Walking on the splendid Great Wall, you will see how this architectural marvel meanders like a flexible dragon laid upon the vibrant green mountain ridges. Here we will make a celebration to memorize the moment with a toast with the red wine offered by us.

Lunch is not served today, as the nearby restaurants don’t meet our service standard. We recommend that you have a big breakfast or prepare some fast food in your bag pack. Also, your experienced guide is willing to point you a neighboring restaurant if you prefer. In the afternoon, we will head to a local market and leave you some time to experience the local lifestyle.
