Day 1: Airport pick up
Thanks for choosing our 7 days Cambodia itinerary. When you arrive at Phnom Penh International Airport, our driver and the tour guide will wait for you at the Arrival Hall, then send you to the hotel.
If we have enough time, the tour guide will then take you to visit Wat Phnom in the city. Wat Phnom is a landmark in Phnom Penh and a place for locals to pray. At the top of the hill is the statue of Madame Penh, one of the symbols of Phnom Penh. A statue of Naga, the hydra god, can be seen at the entrance, which is seen as the patron saint of the kingdom. You can look down on Phnom Penh from the top of Wat Phnom.
Day 2: Phnom Penh day tour, Fly 1h to Sihanoukville
At around 8 am, our tour guide will pick you up at the hotel and escort you to visit the Royal Palace, which is the holy place for Kings to worship the Buddha. The hall is dedicated to a 60-centimeter-high Buddha carved from a whole piece of jade, which is Cambodia's national treasure. Then we will visit the nearby National Museum, which houses artifacts and sculptures from the 4th to 10th centuries, the Angkor Dynasty, etc., and many authentic Angkor sculptures.
After lunchtime, the guide will send you to the airport for you to fly to Sihanoukville. Sihanoukville is next to the Gulf of Thailand, famous for its exquisite white sandy beaches and diverse marine entertainment. Upon arrival, the local driver will pick you up at the airport and send you to the hotel.
Day 3: Sihanoukville free day
Today you can move freely in Sihanoukville. You can enjoy your own leisure time on the hotel's private beach, or you can pay extra fee to participate in some marine recreational activities, such as motorboat ride on the beach and surfing on the sea.
Day 4: Sihanoukville free day
Today is still the free day in Sihanoukville. There are some great places you can go. Koh Rong Samloem is not very commercialized, where you can enjoy the fine white sand and the clean sea water freely. If you want to get away from the noise and bustle of tourists, Sokha Beach is also a good choice.
Day 5: Fly 1h to Siem Reap, Cruise tour on Tonle Sap Lake
On the fifth day of this 1 week Cambodia itinerary, our driver will send you to the airport to fly 1 hour to Siem Reap. Upon your arrival, local driver and the tour guide will pick you up and head to the hotel. After a short break in hotel, we will go to Tonle Sap Lake, and take the cruise boat to look for Floating Villages. We will also not miss the beautiful sunset over the lake.
The spectacular sunrise at Angkor Wat is also a must-see for visitors to Siem Reap. If you are interested, the tour guide will confirm with you the early meeting time for tomorrow after sending you back to the hotel.
Day 6: Siem Reap full day tour with Angkor Wat
Today we will spend the whole day exploring Khmer Civilization. First, we'll see the spectacular sunrise in Angkor Wat, the best-preserved Angkor's ancient monument. Then enter Angkor Thom from the South gate to find the mysterious "The Smile of Khmer" in Bayon Temple. Along the following visit, you will be impressed by the majestic Phimeanaksa, Terrace of the Elephants, and Terrace of the Leper King. We will leave Angkor Thom from North Gate, and then go to visit Preah Khan, who celebrates male power, and Banteay Srei Temple, who praises female rights.
After lunchtime break, we will visit Angkor Wat. It is the best-preserved Angkor's ancient monument and the largest religious building in the world. It is famous for its magnificent architecture and fine reliefs. The temple's cloisters are filled with exquisite frescoes.
Day 7: Siem Reap departure, Airport see off
